Kon Tum is one of 5 provinces in the Central Highlands region along with Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Lam Dong, possessing vast and equally poetic mountain and forest scenery.

I came to Kon Tum when the weather was favorable. Because of limited time, I spent a day exploring famous landmarks here.

One day exploring Kon Tum
Mang Den has a temperate climate, suitable for visiting at any time of the year.

This is a place you cannot miss when visiting Mang Den. Kon Bring cultural village has more than 90% of the residents are Mo Nam people (a branch of the Xe Dang ethnic group). In the middle of the space of dozens of stilt houses is a tall, proud communal roof in the middle of a green valley. People here still retain many national traditions with unique cultural activities in the village such as gongs and sinus dancing.

13:00: Check-in at Pa Sy waterfall

Pa Sy Waterfall is located in the community cultural eco-tourism area of Kon Tu Rang ethnic village in Mang Canh commune, Kon Plong district. Compared to other waterfalls in the Central Highlands that have been put into tourism service before, the infrastructure of Pa Sy waterfall tourist area is not as modern, but still retains its pristine features.

15:30: Move to Dak Koi commune

I stopped by Kon Tum cathedral. This location is located in the middle of the green forest of the plateau. The century-old wooden church is the pride of the people of Kon Tum region. The church was built by French priest Giuse Decrouille in 1913 and took until 1918 to be completed. Even though it has gone through more than 100 years of history, rain and sun… the wooden church is still solid and undamaged.
