The rarest species of babbler in Vietnam is at Ngoc Linh mountain

Ngoc Linh mountain peak is more than 2,500 m high, located on the Truong Son range, the border between Kon Tum and Quang Nam provinces. According to Thuan Vo, his greatest success on this trip was capturing the image of a Ngoc Linh babbler family consisting of three members.

According to the Red Book of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), Ngoc Linh’s babbler has the scientific name Trochalopteron ngoclinhense, belongs to the order Passerines, and was scientifically described in 1999. The main habitat of this bird is the region. Ngoc Linh mountain forest, at an altitude of 1,480 – 2,200 m.
