Clouds creep in the center of Sa Pa town. This type of cloud is typical of the Northwest, often appearing in winter and spring.

Photographers Bui Xuan Viet (Dong Nai), Tran Minh Dung and Ao Kim Ngoc (HCMC) hunted clouds together before, during and after Tet on the Lao Cai – Lai Chau route.

“The journey of hunting clouds on the Northwest roads brought us many memorable experiences,” Mr. Bui Xuan Viet shared.

The clouds drift as the streets in Sa Pa light up. One of the beautiful places to hunt rattan is the rattan field on Ham Rong mountain, with the highest point of 1,850 m. To get to Ham Rong Mountain, visitors must go to the central square of the Stone Church and walk to the back along the steps.

The “dance” of clouds in the early morning on O Long tea hill, about 7 km from Sa Pa center. Flowering cherry apricot trees are planted alternately on the paths between the tea hills. This flower blooms from December to January every year. Besides Sa Pa, other localities such as Da Lat and Kon Tum are also famous for cherry blossoms.

Clouds drift in the golden afternoon sunlight at O ​​Quy Ho pass. The pass is located on Highway 4D, cutting across the Hoang Lien Son range, about 15 km from Sa Pa center, connecting the two provinces of Lao Cai and Lai Chau.

Hau Thao church and Hang Da village are dim in the late afternoon clouds. This location is about 7 km from Sa Pa, and is considered to still retain the identity of Sa Pa, from nature to people.

This cluster of works was built in the architectural style of pure Vietnamese ancient pagodas such as Bao An Thien Tu, Bich Van Thien Tu, Kim Son Bao Thang Tu. This place also has spiritual works such as the Great Statue of Amitabha Buddha, Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, and Arhat Street running along the mountainside.

Wooden floors are installed around the Fansipan landmark, making it convenient for visitors to visit. This is also a favorite place for many photographers to hunt clouds and take pictures of the starry sky.

Sunset at the foot of Chu Va mountain. This mountain is located in Phong Tho district, Lai Chau province. From Sa Pa, tourists follow Highway 4D towards Lai Chau for about 30 km to reach Chu Va.

“Visitors can see clouds dancing, sometimes drifting gently behind the mountains in the distance, sometimes billowing over the valley. Clouds adorn the majestic mountain and sky scenery here,” shared Ms. Ao Kim Ngoc (pictured), a member of the delegation.
